The Pit Stop Mastery of Formula 1

Designed to be a magazine spread someday, the graphic on Formula 1 pitstops shows the pit crew members and their jobs involved in changing tires on a racing car.

​

The graphics' composition follows overall clear design, focusing on the car as main information point. The footprints around symbolize the members of the pit crew involved in a regular pit stop, each in their working position.

​

The isometric drawing of the car is the center of the whole graphic. This kind of perspective allows the viewer to better understand the arrangement in a 3D space. The wider outline lets you focus on the racing car as a whole, while the inner lines are showing details.

Did you know that the pit stop record time is less than two seconds? It was achieved in 2019 at the  Formula 1 race in Brazil.
